At Oxford Rugby Club, everyone is welcome — whether you’re pulling on boots, cheering from the touchline, coaching the next generation, or lending a hand behind the scenes. We’re more than just a club; we are a community built by its members, for its members — and it’s that spirit that makes Oxford RFC so special.

A heartfelt thank you to all our volunteers, whose tireless work, energy, and commitment make the club tick. From coaching and organising to safeguarding and first aid, it’s your passion that powers Oxford Rugby Club forward.

We are proud to say that Oxford is a members’ club, run by those who live and breathe the game. Our newly formed Executive Board now meets quarterly to guide our long-term strategy, while the dedicated Management Committee, meeting monthly, keeps the club running smoothly every week.

Last season was a moment to remember:

• The 1st XV secured promotion to Level 7,
  
  
• The 2nd XV Nomads showed fantastic consistency by fulfilling all their league fixtures.
  
  

This year promises even more excitement, with home games almost every weekend and a squad of players hungry to play total rugby with flair and imagination.

On Sundays, our Mini Rugby section (ages 5–12) brings a buzz of excitement and laughter. The atmosphere is warm, inclusive, and full of joy – a perfect introduction to rugby for young players and their families.

Our commercial partnerships continue to thrive. We’re proud to welcome Dighton Developments as our new 1st XV shirt sponsor and thank ODS for their ongoing support of Mini Rugby. We’re also deeply grateful for the continued backing of G. Casserly & Sons Crane Hire, Sameways Care, Tubes Scaffolding, Milan Fencing, The Plough at Hanney, Rowley’s Green Care, and Oxford Ironmongery.

We also extend our sincere gratitude to Paul and Sarah Pritchard for their generous donation to the club. We’ve applied for Gift Aid, which allows charities like ours to claim an extra 25p for every £1 donated—at no extra cost to the donor. It’s a fantastic way to make your support go even further, and we’re incredibly grateful.

Our connections across the community remain strong. As proud Community Partners, we’re honoured to support organisations like Shed Oxford (mental health), Oxford Powersports, and the 4th Botley Scouts, who benefit from our facilities. Our grounds are also home to other local teams, including Cumnor Minors Football, Oxford Archers, and the Oxford Saints American Football team.

From the Chair

Being Chair of Oxford RFC is one of the most rewarding roles I’ve ever had — though not without its challenges! I’m not always the most patient person, but I’m learning to be more diplomatic as I grow into the role. What keeps me going? The limitless potential of this club to be a vibrant hub for rugby and a host of other activities that truly serve our local community.
